  Despite our past arguments, I am very happy to see you posted this information! Great job! Did you use PACER-NET and the National Case/Party Index lookup system or was it posted in a newspaper?

  Judge Torruella mentioned at the outset if from Puerto Rico. I work in the 1st Circuit. I am currently located in the Tip O'Neill Federal Building on 10 Causeway Street, Boston, MA 02222.

  I am revealing all of this because I gave notice after the holidays, and my last physical day of work with the courts ends tommorow, while my actual separation day is March 22 (I am using my last 5 weeks of leftover vacation time).

  I start my new postion on March 25. In the meantime, I think your post was excellent!

  60% of the original english language is in fact from latin (mater lingua). Therefore, I am going to side with the anglophiles on thsi one. British english is the original english, the most correct form of english and the standard for english dictionaries.

  British spellings are correct, unique, full of flavour, and everyone knows that at one time or another, you have attempted a "british accent". It is still the most popular and widely recognized accent from the western world. I wish I could speak like John Cleese or Rex Harrison (only when speaking english, of course, they would sound foolish in spanish or italian).

  i have to ask this although i have a feeling i dont really want to read the responses but anyway.

  i talked to several people here today who dont believe there is a god at all.

  this is disturbing!

  The fact that religious leaders would continue propogating "speculative interpretations" packaged with organizational/denominational policies is disgusting.

  When science, history, and archeology reveal the countless major gaps in human religion, it becomes more obvious. It only requires rational thought and meditation to understand how mankind has been "duped" for thousands of years. The never-ending struggle, suffering, death, pain that religion has caused is such a monumental tragedy and "stain" on human history.

  We have been offered "faith" as a consolation prize or better yet, "rose-colored" glasses from which to avoid the obvious evidence from our own universe and planet. "Faith" in what ancient men have provided as explanations for our existence, based on their limited knowledge and discovery.

  If the Creator, Source, Supreme Being is watching, he/she/it may have decided we are still light years away from being ready for contact!

  We haven't been able to handle the simple concept of "he/She/It's" existence too well thus far, why intervene further?

  This thread is very important to me in a personal way. Last saturday morning, after having my usual coffee, I entered my office for some quiet time.

  My version of quiet time involves listening to 60's & 70's protest music with headphones and an open window. Well, as usual, the music and lyrics creates a melancholy and reflective mood. This time it was much more intense. I listened to Barry McGuire's "Eve of Destruction" several times and Coven's "One Tin Soldier" and many others over and over again. Then after I am finished reminiscing about the past, my youth, my family in the "old country" and my mistakes, I shed some quiet tears and begin my day.

  This time the effects and moods lasted much longer. I began to reflect on religion and the WTBS and the Bible while the music was playing. A "new experience" happened for the first time in my life. I suddenly realized that since the beginning of the origin and exodus of judeo-christian religions from the middle-east into the western world, that the men/leaders/clerics/scholars/teachers NEVER REALLY KNEW AT ALL if they were right.

  I suddenly realized that as they met and sat together and they contemplated, researched, pondered, wondered, speculated, prophesied, predicted, interpreted, that in fact, they themselves were fully aware that they had no absolute proof of anything at all! They weren't providing any information or revelation that any other human couldn't conujure up for themselves, minus the organizational control, policy making and subjugation.

  I kept saying to myself over and over, "they knew all along", "they knew all along" that they could only specualate and guess. Thousands of now famous historical ancient men explaining and interpreting fear and superstition for mankind and commanding authority for doing so!

  Why? How could they continue to do this and then pass it on from generation to generation? The answer came to me from the simple and straightforward lyrics of yesterday's songs from the past, they all believed that "GOD" would "help and support" them if they went public and brought their teachings to the public. They assumed authority under the principle that someone had to in order to defend "GOD" and the bible and that they would be blessed and progress, even without proof! Audacious isn't it?

  But, isn't that how religions start? After all of this transpired, the anger arrived. I kept picturing the GB and other religious leaders (Pope, Synods, etc) meeting in groups and deciding policies that affect human lives, without conscience, assuming they are performing a service. How dare they?

  Now, I am convinced that humans and religions CANNOT represent "GOD" or the "Supreme Being". He/She/It can only represent itself!

  long slow discussions that have been going on for months.

  patiently showing them from the wtbts own publications and no outside sources, the falicy this cult is.. when down to the final round, and have all them facts laid out, pages and pages of wt quotes contradicting its self.

  NEW LIGHT! Earthquakes-3-22-02 Awake!

  well we now have another ray of new light that has flashed forth.

  it is a new teaching regarding earthquakes.

  for close to eighty-five years now the core believe of jehovahs witnesses has been the last days teaching that earthquakes have increased in intensity and frequency since 1914. no longer, now it seems it has gone the way of the generation that would not die who were alive in 1914. now we have the great new discovery that there were not more or stronger earthquakes since 1914, almost 40 years after experts and many good men were disfellowshipped for saying otherwise.

  Obviously, for american WASPS, it has ALWAYS been an issue of "color".

  It is the issue of having people of different colors moving into your "pure" neighborhoods. The magic number has always been 13. In the book The Two Americas, Separate, but not Equal, the writers conducted a study and survey using only white students.

  In one of the studies, it was proven that once 13% integration is acheived, WASPS begin moving and selling their homes. No matter how upscale, how clean, how educated, how friendly, how patriotic a family of color can be, it is not enough to convince WASPS to inter-mingle.

  So, no matter how much families of color try to integrate, they will eventually find themselves living in a ghetto all over again, despite having left it behind. Why? WASPS prefer to move rather than integrate. The basic fears cited were; gangs, drug-dealing, prostitution, rap music & culture, etc.. These assertions were arrived at without evidence, only presence!

  Also, students were asked to participate in a scenario regarding their origin and birth. Ten students were told that their birth color was a "mistake". They were told that they should have been born black, and it was a government mistake. They were told the government was required to "fix" the mistake and that as of midnight that very day, they and all of their friends and families would be black.

  But, they were told the government recognized it's mistake and understood the students would need assistance in transitioning and would grant each a one request. Do you know that 9 out of the ten students asked for the very same thing....billions of dollars in compensation. Why? Because even though WASPS "claim" america is NOT racist and they are not prejudice, they fully recognize it exists by needing a huge cash buffer as a protection against having black skin.

  Immigrants and indigenous minorities have always tried to blend and mix into the dominant WASP culture, its just not appreciated nor wanted. It is WASPS who insist and demand separation of schools, neighborhoods, resources, etc..
